Yuri Goldes

Dr. Yuri Goldes is a surgical oncologist and general surgeon at Sheba Medical Center. He specializes in minimally invasive and robotic surgery for complex gastrointestinal cancers. In 2019, the Israeli Ministry of Health named him Best Doctor of the Year.

Specialization and Surgical Approach

Dr. Goldes treats cancers of the pancreas, stomach, and esophagus. He uses laparoscopic and robotic techniques to reduce patient recovery times. Furthermore, he is among a select group performing minimally invasive Whipple procedures. This operation, also known as pancreaticoduodenectomy, involves the pancreas and bile duct.
