Prof. Dr. Salih Murat İmer is a neurosurgeon with over 30 years of experience. He founded and led the Neurosurgery Department at Okan University Hospital. He has written 68 scientific articles and contributed to 9 book chapters. Dr. İmer has also presented at 33 international congresses, showing his influence in neurosurgery worldwide.

Dr. İmer holds advanced certifications in functional and stereotactic neurosurgery, Leksell Gamma Knife radiosurgery, and endoscopic spine surgery. He received specialized training in several European countries. He has worked with leading experts such as Prof. Matti Vapalahti and Prof. Juha Hernesniemi. Through these collaborations, he has helped improve neurosurgical practice and education around the world.

Dr. Leylagül Kaynar is a hematologist with broad experience in clinical hematology, bone marrow transplantation, and apheresis. She completed her medical degree and specialist training at Erciyes University in Turkey. There, she worked as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Director of the Apheresis Unit, and Head of the Hematology Department.

Dr. Kaynar gained international research experience as a Visiting Research Scholar at Duke University in the USA. She also led the Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplantation Department at the Bahrain Oncology Center, where she improved hematology care in the region. Dr. Kaynar is now Professor and Head of Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplantation at Medipol Mega University Hospital in Turkey. She is known for her leadership and contributions to hematology and transplantation services.

Prof. Dr. Alaettin Çelik graduated from Adapazarı İlyaslar Primary School in 1960, from Haydarpaşa High School in 1966, and from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in 1972. In the same year, he became an assistant in the 2nd Surgery Department of the Faculty of Medicine. Between November 1975 and February 1976, he completed his military service for 4 months at the Gelibolu Military Hospital as a Reserve Officer. In 1977, he became a General Surgery Specialist in the Department of Surgery.

To establish the pediatric surgery department at the faculty and to specialize further, he worked as a registrar at the University of London's "The Hospital for Sick Children" from 01.12.1978 to 01.12.1980. After returning to the faculty, he continued his pediatric surgery studies and became an associate professor in 1982.

In the same year, he was appointed as the founding chairman of the Pediatric Surgery Department at Istanbul Faculty of Medicine on 06.09.1982. He established the department, which included a 30-bed inpatient unit, an ICU, a polyclinic, and an operating room for students, assistants, and specialists. In 1988, he became a professor. In addition to leading the Pediatric Surgery Department, he served as the Vice President of the Department of Surgical Medical Sciences between 1990 and 1995. From 1995 to 1998, he was the Head of the Department of Surgical Medical Sciences at Istanbul Faculty of Medicine.

He is a specialist in General Surgery, Pediatric Surgery, and Pediatric Urology. He has numerous cited and published clinical and experimental research articles, case reports, expert theses, and free papers presented at domestic and international congresses. He is the author of several books, including Pediatric Surgery Book of Pediatric Surgery (2014), Newborn Surgery (2008), and Pediatric Surgery Book (2013).

He is a member of various professional medical associations, including the Turkish Ministry of Health Pediatric Surgery Society. He established, developed, and trained a large number of students, assistants, specialists, and faculty members at the Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, Department of Pediatric Surgery. He left the Department of Pediatric Surgery in 2013 and retired due to age limits on 16.03.2016. His contracted working period at the same faculty ended on 22.10.2016. He continues to work as a Pediatric Surgery Specialist at Istanbul Florence Nightingale Hospital and participates in weekly meetings of the Council of Children's Tumors.

Dr. Sefik Igdem is a respected radiation oncologist with 37 years of experience. He is known for his skill in advanced cancer treatments. Dr. Igdem specializes in radiotherapy, intensity-modulated radiation therapy, 3D conformal radiation therapy, and image-guided radiotherapy. He focuses mainly on prostate cancer and head and neck cancers.

Dr. Igdem has played a key role in bringing new technologies and conformal treatments to radiation oncology. He has also completed a retrospective analysis of 600 postmenopausal breast cancer cases. This work shows his commitment to evidence-based care. His broad clinical experience and focus on innovation have made him a leader in his field.

Dr. Yunus Nazli is an Associate Professor of Cardiovascular Surgery. He graduated from Trakya University Faculty of Medicine (1994–2000). He trained in Cardiovascular Surgery at Celal Bayar University (2001–2006).

He worked as a Cardiovascular Surgery Specialist at Diyarbakır State Hospital (2006–2008). He then served at Van Military Hospital and Van Medical Park Hospital (2008–2009). From 2009 to 2016, he worked at Turgut Özal University. In 2016, he became an Associate Professor at Private Yüzüncüyıl Hospital. He served as an Associate Professor at Etimed Hospital (2016–2018). Dr. Bahri Gok is a urologist at LHÜ Ankara Hospital (2024–). He earned his MD from Selçuk University (2001–2007). He served in the Department of Urology at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University as Assistant Professor (2017–2020) and Associate Professor (2020–2023). Dr. Atilla Ozenoglu is a thoracic surgery specialist. He completed medical school at Karadeniz University (1984–1990). He finished his thoracic surgery residency at Pamukkale University (2003–2009). He worked as a general practitioner from 1990 to 2003. He then served at Adıyaman State Hospital (2009–2014) and Gaziantep Medical Park (2014–2017). In 2017, he worked at Erzurum Regional Training and Research Hospital. He now works at Rize Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Training and Research Hospital. He serves as a thoracic surgery specialist and deputy chief physician.

Dr. Inci Emekli is a neurologist at PARMER, Istanbul Medipol University (2025–). She specializes in Parkinson’s disease and movement disorders. She completed her neurology residency at Istanbul University (2015–2020). She then completed a neurology fellowship at Karabuk University (2020–2023) and movement disorders training at Michigan State University (2023–2024).

Her publications include an accepted article in Movement Disorders on the Head Snap Sign, a 2024 World Neurosurgery article on gender inequality in leadership, and a 2021 Parkinsonism & Related Disorders paper on hereditary Parkinson’s in Turkey. Dr. Buse Cagla Ari, MD, is an Associate Professor of Neurology. She specializes in Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders, headache disorders, sleep disorders, and dementia. She works at Istanbul Medipol University and the Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Center (PARMER). She previously served as an Assistant Professor at Bahcesehir University.

Her research focuses on Parkinson’s disease biomarkers, cognition, uric acid and cholesterol associations, restless legs syndrome, and complex headaches. This includes a 13-patient case series. She has published 15 international and 4 Turkish papers and 5 book chapters. Her work has 147 citations on Google Scholar (h-index 5) and 91 citations on Web of Science (h-index 5).
