About the Doctor

Professor Raanan Berger is a leading medical oncologist and radiotherapist, serving as the Director of the Cancer Center at Sheba Medical Center.

He also heads the clinical research unit within the Institute of Oncology and Radiotherapy, where he is actively involved in advancing innovative cancer therapies.

Prof. Berger has played a key role in developing a comprehensive patient support program, integrating medical treatment with psychological and social care. This multidisciplinary model ensures that patients and their families receive not only cutting-edge oncology care, but also continuous emotional and supportive guidance throughout the treatment process.

He leads the genitourinary oncology program, with a particular focus on prostate cancer, and runs a basic and translational research laboratory investigating molecular mechanisms involved in prostate and breast cancer development.

Professor Berger is the co-author of over 20 peer-reviewed scientific publications.
