Clinic Avah is a private aesthetic surgery and dermatology practice. It is located in the Lourdes neighborhood of Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Three specialists lead the team: Dr. Henrique Freitas, Dr. Julia Real, and Dr. Sergio Furtado. The clinic guides patients from pre-operative preparation through long-term recovery.
Accreditations and Surgical Experience
The clinic holds accreditations from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery (SBCP). These memberships reflect international safety and ethical standards. Dr. Henrique Freitas leads the surgical team. He has performed over 4,000 surgeries throughout his career.
Plastic Surgery and Body Contouring
The surgical team focuses on advanced breast and body sculpting. Surgeons use the Metodo L Science for breast surgery planning. This system applies mathematical principles to create predictable L-shaped scar patterns. The clinic also offers the R24R technique for silicone implants. With this method, selected patients can resume basic activities within 24 hours.
Specialists perform a range of breast and body procedures:
- Mastopexy with or without implants
- Breast reduction using internal mesh support
- HD and Ultra HD liposuction for abdominal definition
- Fat grafting to the breasts and other areas
- Arm lift (brachioplasty) for excess skin removal
- Miniabdominoplasty and full tummy tucks
- Gynecomastia correction for enlarged male breast tissue
- Silicone implant explant procedures
Every surgery involves precise markings and team alignment on the day of the procedure. Surgeons also handle tuberous breast correction and complex implant replacements.
Rehabilitation and Recovery Protocols
Recovery follows a specialized rehabilitation pathway. The clinic builds individualized physiotherapy into every post-operative plan. Therapists assess body characteristics and recovery stages, then adjust treatment accordingly. This helps restore mobility and maintain surgical results over time. Patients can reach the team via WhatsApp with questions during recovery.
The monitoring process includes several structured stages:
- Pre-operative plan review with the full surgical team
- Provision of the Avah surgical preparation kit
- Supervised recovery visits with no fixed limit for one year
- Long-term result maintenance assessments
Dr. Henrique Freitas also uses the Molde L Science marking tool. This device improves accuracy during the initial surgical planning phase.
International Patient Services
The clinic runs a dedicated Concierge service for patients traveling from abroad. This service coordinates logistics before and after surgery. It covers local accommodations and private transportation. The team assists with medical exams and arranges in-home nursing care if needed. Online consultations are available for initial planning and follow-up with the rehabilitation specialist.
