Markus Mueller

OA Dr. Markus Müller is a specialist in internal medicine and angiology — the medicine of blood vessels — at JUVENIS Medical Center in central Vienna, and a senior physician at the Clinical Department of Angiology at the Medical University of Vienna. He holds a formal specialisation in vascular ultrasound, and treats patients in German, English and French.

Education and training Dr. Müller received his doctorate in human medicine from the Medical University of Vienna in 2015. He completed his specialist training in internal medicine and angiology between 2015 and 2022, with rotations through nephrology, oncology and emergency medicine.

Career He has been a senior physician at the Clinical Department of Angiology, Medical University of Vienna, since 2022. In 2024 he spent a year abroad in clinical and academic work as a specialist — Chef de Clinique — at the Département coeur-vaisseaux of the University Hospital of Lausanne (CHUV) in Switzerland, one of the country's five university hospitals. In 2025 he completed a specialisation in vascular ultrasound at the Medical University of Vienna's angiology department. He joined JUVENIS in 2026.

What cardiovascular risk assessment actually answers Most people know the general advice about blood pressure, cholesterol and smoking. What is harder to find out is where you stand: whether the arteries already show changes, how far any narrowing has progressed, and which of your risk factors is doing the most damage. Vascular ultrasound answers much of that without radiation and without a needle, in a single appointment — the carotid arteries in the neck, the arteries of the legs, the main abdominal artery. It turns general advice into a specific plan.
