الدكتور إيك-بوم شين جرّاح الثدي والغدة الدرقية. حصل على شهادة الطب من كلية الطب بجامعة Inje. أتمّ الامتياز في Inje University Sanggye Paik Hospital، ثم أنهى برنامج الإقامة وعمل طبيب مستشفى (Hospitalist) في Inje University Haeundae Paik Hospital. أكمل زمالة في جراحة الغدة الدرقية والغدد الصماء في Haeundae Paik Hospital، كما أكمل زمالة في جراحة الثدي والغدد الصماء في Seoul National University Hospital. هو اختصاصي في جراحة الغدة الدرقية والغدد الصماء (Korean Surgical Society). وهو حاصل على اعتماد في تصوير الثدي والغدة الدرقية بالموجات فوق الصوتية (Korean Society of Surgical Ultrasound).
