Davut Aktas

Professor Doctor Davut Aktaş was born in 1957 in Sarıkamış, Kars. 

He graduated from Ankara Faculty of Medicine in 1978. He completed his Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) specialty training at the Gülhane Military Medical Academy (GATA) ENT Department between 1982 and 1985. Between 1985 and 1989, he worked as an ENT specialist at the Gümüşsuyu Military Hospital. At GATA, he became an Assistant Professor in 1989; and an Associate Professor in 1994. In 1997, he left GATA and worked as a faculty member at the Turgut Özal Medical Center of İnönü University, MALATYA, until 2001.In 2001, he worked as a Professor in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at Fatih University and as the Head of the Otorhinolaryngology Department. After leaving Fatih University in 2007, he worked respectively at TDV 29 Mayıs Hospital, Koru Hospital, Medicana Hospital and Umut Hospital.

He has a total of 64 publications and 45 presentations, both national and international.

Although he has the necessary knowledge and experience in all areas of ENT and Head and Neck Surgery, his main area of interest is the medical and surgical treatment of Nasal, Sinus, Ear Diseases.

- Functional nasal (Septoplasty, Concha) aesthetic surgeries.

- Endoscopic and other sinus surgeries.

- Ear surgeries (ear tube, hearing, tympanic membrane repair, cholesteatoma, and others).

- Tonsillectomy and Adenoidectomy.

- Laryngeal polyp, nodule and cyst surgeries.

- Neck lipoma, benign tumors, cyst and fistula surgeries.
