I have nothing but positive things to say about Dr. Gregory Wiener, his staff, the facility, and my surgery experience. I would like to start off by saying that I was a plastic surgery virgin when I started on this journey. After an adult lifetime of my weight yo-yoing and finally getting that under control, I decided I wanted a tummy tuck and breast lift (no implants). I am from central Illinois so I began researching plastic surgeons. I must have reviewed close to 40-50 plastic surgeons all over Illinois and surrounding areas (e.g. St. Louis, MO, Indianapolis, IN, etc.). I scoured their bios, CVs, before and after photos of surgical procedures, and Google reviews. That's how I found Dr. Gregory Wiener and the Art of Plastic Surgery. However, I wasn't sold until I had my hour and forty-five minute consult with the doctor himself. Dr. Wiener spent a lot of time with me. I already knew the man was knowledgeable in the area of plastic surgery. What I wanted to know was: am I comfortable putting my life in this man's capable hands? After the consult, I knew the answer was a resounding yes. Dr. Wiener seemed like the kind of man who could go fishing with my family. He seemed like the kind of man who would treat me like his own daughter on the operating table. I trusted him implicitly. It's a good thing I did because unfortunately my breasts did not want to cooperate the day of surgery and made a 6 hour long procedure last 8 hours. God bless Dr. Wiener for hanging in there for that long. I'm sure I made him late for dinner that night, but he controlled all my bleeding and performed beautiful surgical procedures. The day after surgery when I went in for my follow-up and all the binders and bandages were removed, I was reduced to tears seeing my new body. I thanked Dr. Wiener for his masterful work and for changing my life. His work far surpassed my wildest dreams. While Dr. Wiener may play the leading role here, his staff have also earned serious accolades. I absolutely adore Priscilla and Liz who are always so kind to me on the phone and greet me warmly at the front desk. They are the familiar voices and faces I have come to know and love at The Art of Plastic Surgery. Then there are Jane and Lizzy who have provided me the best possible nursing care I could imagine. They answered ALL my questions (no matter how many or how ridiculous), returned all my phone calls/text messages, and have always been so kind, caring, and compassionate. I adore these two ladies being part of my care team. I'm also grateful to the nurse and anesthesiologist (I'm sorry I don't remember your names) from the day of my surgery. Final mention goes to the facility itself. The facility is clean, has refreshments, beautiful ambiance and lighting, and was the one stop shop for my consultation, surgery, and follow-up appointments. I could not have asked for a better experience. I will always hold a special place in my heart for Dr. Wiener and his staff for making a monumental difference in my life and making me feel cared about every step of the way.
