Ospedale San Carlo di Nancy is, without a doubt, the most incompetent and indifferent hospital I’ve ever encountered. I showed up at 11:45 PM with a knee injury, visibly limping and in discomfort. The woman at the front desk completely ignored me while flirting and laughing with ambulance staff — as if I was invisible.
When she finally acknowledged me, I was checked in and then left waiting for nearly 3 hours. No updates. No triage. No urgency. Just indifference.
When I was finally called back, the doctor barely looked at me and told me there was “nothing they could do” because I wasn’t in “serious” pain — as if I needed to be crawling or bleeding out to be treated. I asked — practically begged — for at least an X-ray to rule out a serious injury. His response? “Come back in the morning.” That was it. No ice pack. No compression wrap. No care. Not even basic human decency.
Three hours wasted, zero treatment, and a complete disregard for patient wellbeing. I walked out in the same condition I arrived — except now I was furious, exhausted, and in more pain.
The next morning, I went to a private doctor, who immediately took care of me, got imaging done, provided a diagnosis, and gave me the medication I needed.
This hospital is a shameful excuse for a medical facility. Unprofessional, unorganized, and uncaring. If you have a real emergency, go anywhere else.
