الدكتورة لورا ماسالايتي طبيبة أمراض الجهاز الهضمي وأخصائية مناظير في عيادات VUL سانتاروس وعيادات كارديوليتا. تولّت منصب القائمة بأعمال رئيس مركز تنسيق زراعة الأعضاء في عام 2024. عملت أخصائية أولى بين 2007 و2024. ومنذ 2024 تشغل منصب أستاذة مشاركة في جامعة فيلنيوس.

أتمّت دكتوراه في الطب عام 2014 (2010–2014). أنهت الإقامة التخصصية في أمراض الجهاز الهضمي عام 2010 (2006–2010). تحمل ترخيصًا مهنيًا كأخصائية أمراض الجهاز الهضمي (MPL15909؛ 2010-06-30). شمل تدريبها المتقدم زراعة الكبد في فيينا (2023–2024) ووارسو (2010). كما تدرّبت على المناظير والموجات فوق الصوتية في فوبرتال، وأتمّت دورات UEG. وحصلت على شهادة GCP عام 2023.

نشرت أعمالها في مجلات Cancers وScandinavian Journal of Gastroenterology وHepatology International. يشمل بحثها برنامج الفحص الوطني لمدة خمس سنوات لسرطان القولون والمستقيم، واستخدام الموجات فوق الصوتية بالمنظار (EUS) للتنبؤ بعودة الدوالي. كما درست معدل اكتشاف الأورام الغدية، وبضع رتج زنكر، وتدفق الوريد البابي في التهاب البنكرياس، والخلل الانبساطي في تليّف الكبد، والنتائج المبكرة بعد زراعة الكبد.
