He was born in 1974 in Osmanbey, Istanbul. He graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Medicine in 1997, which he started in 1991. In the same year, he started his specialization in Marmara University Neurosurgery Department. He graduated in 2002 with the title of Neurosurgery Specialist. After getting his specialization, he did his military service as a Neurosurgeon Specialist at Gülhane Military Medical Academy Haydarpaşa Hospital. During this period, he also had a microsurgery education at GATA Ankara Microsurgery Laboratories with an official assignment. Subsequently, Kartal Dr. He completed his compulsory service at Lütfi Kırdar Training and Research Hospital.

He worked at Avicenna Ataşehir Hospital for seven years. Meanwhile, he also served as a member of the board of directors of the Nervous System Association. He went to the 29 Mayıs Hospital of the Turkish Religious Foundation. Later, he returned to the state for a period, first at Maltepe State Hospital, then with its new name Kartal Dr. He worked at Lütfi Kırdar City Hospital.

In 2020, he left the state again and started to work as a Neurosurgeon Specialist and Deputy Chief Physician at Academic Hospital.

After receiving the title of Associate Professor of Neurosurgery in 2021, he left his administrative duty to focus on academic studies. Currently, he is a faculty member at Galata University Faculty of Health Sciences and a member of the Beykent University Faculty of Medicine Advisory Board.

Although he provides professional service in all areas of Neurosurgery, the areas he prefers to work with are spine surgery, pediatric neurosurgery, peripheral neurosurgery, and tumor surgery.

He has been accepting patients at Hisar Intercontinental Hospital since October 2022.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Oğuzhan BABACAN completed his undergraduate, specialty and sub-specialty education at GATA Military Medical Faculty/Ankara. After becoming a specialist in Pediatrics, he worked in the field of Social Pediatrics for two years, where Healthy Baby Monitoring and vaccine follow-up were carried out. Then, she completed her subspecialty training in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology and continued her studies in the field of pediatric blood and cancer diseases. Assoc. Prof. Gorkem Turkkan started his medical education at Gülhane Military Medical Academy in 2003 and completed it at Zonguldak Karaelmas (Bülent Ecevit) University Faculty of Medicine in 2009. He completed his specialization at Trakya University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Radiation Oncology and became a radiation oncology specialist in 2016.

After completing his compulsory service, he served as a Lecturer and Head of Department at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Radiation Oncology, from May 2019 to February 2021. Meanwhile, between March and June 2020, he worked as a clinical researcher at Maastricht University Faculty of Medicine Department of Radiation Oncology – MAASTRO Clinic (Netherlands) on stereotactic radiotherapy, thoracic radiotherapy-related lung toxicity and proton therapy. While he was working at İstinye University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Radiation Oncology and Liv Hospital Ulus Radiation Oncology Clinic between March 2021 and April 2023, he received the title of Associate Professor in February 2023. She has been serving her patients at Hisar Hospital Intercontinental since May 2023.

He has performed both traditional radiotherapy and advanced radiotherapy throughout his career. He is one of the experienced physicians in our country in stereotactic radiotherapy and MRI-guided radiotherapy treatments, which have become increasingly popular and used especially recently. So far, he has successfully completed more than 2500 radiotherapy sessions with the MR-Linac device.

He has been a member of the Turkish Society of Radiation Oncology (TROD) since 2013 and the European Society of Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO) since 2015. He has 27 articles published in domestic and international journals, 31 oral-poster presentations presented at national and international congresses, and 5 book chapters published by national and international publishing houses. He was born in Niğde which is the city middle part of Anatolia. He studied high school in Adana. He graduated from Ankara University Medical School of Medicine. He started his career at Bakırköy Neurological Sciences Hospital in Zeki Oral MD.’s Clinic in 1987 and finished his Neurosurgery residency in 1993. During this period, he completed his micro neurosurgery education, which was a breakthrough for him, at Zurich University “Professor M. Gazi Yaşargil’s Clinic”.

Between 1993-2003, he worked as a teaching assistant and then as an assistant professor at the Professor Necmettin Pamir’s Clinic, Faculty of Medicine, Marmara University. At the same time, he obtained clinical and surgical gains in the field of neurooncology and vascular neurosurgery at Professor Donlin M. Long and Daniele Rigamonti's Clinic at Johns Hopkins University, USA. In 2003, he received the title of Associate Professor of Neurosurgery.

Between 2004-2010, he worked as Chief of Clinic in Göztepe Training and Research Hospital of Ministry of Health. During this period, he led his clinic to become the only accredited clinic by EANS (The European Association of Neurosurgical Societies) in Turkey, with its educational and care services. During this period, he completed his endoscopic skull base training starting at the University of Pittsburgh.

In 2010, he started to work for Acıbadem University Faculty of Medicine and became a Professor of Neurosurgery. He established the Neurosurgery Department in Medipol University Faculty of Medicine on 2012. He served as a Head of Neurosurgery Department in Memorial Health Group Istanbul Hospitals between 2014-2018. He served Neurosurgery Department of Maslak Hospital of Acıbadem Health Group with his team between 2018- September 2021.

Since 01.10.2021, He have started to work with his team at my private clinic located in Fulya and Ulus Hospital of Liv Health Group.

He served as the founding chairman of ”Skull Base Society” in Turkey. He is also a member of the Executive Committee of the European Skull Base Society (ESBS).

There are more than 110 scientific papers which he hs published in international refereed journals (SCI/SCIEx) and in national refereed journals and 18 scientific articles. He Has more than 250 scientific congress presentations, published books and chapters in books.
