After completing his high school education  at Bahçelievler Super High School in 2000  , he won the Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty in the same year.

Between 2000 and 2006 , he completed his Medical Education at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine.

As of 2007  , he started his General Surgery Specialization in Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty 'General Surgery Department'.

In 2009  , he took part in the Private Metabolic Surgery Clinic in Istanbul German hospital and took part in the Laparoscopic Metabolic Surgery (surgical treatment of Type 2 Diabetes) surgery, which was performed for the first time in Turkey.

In 2011  , he received 'Metabolic Surgery' training at the Taksim German Hospital Metabolic Surgery Unit under Universal Hospitals. He completed his General Surgery residency in 2012.

Between 2012 and 2014 , he worked as a General Surgery Specialist at Istanbul Kanuni Sultan Süleyman Training and Research Hospital.

Between 2014 and 2017 , he worked at the Metabolic Surgery Clinic in Şişli, Istanbul.

He started to work as a lecturer at Istanbul Bilgi University in 2015 and received the title of Assistant Professor in 2016.

Between 2009 and 2017 , he took part in more than 1000 Obesity and Metabolic Surgery Operations.

Between 2017 and 2018 , he worked as a General Surgery Specialist at Private Gebze Konak Hospital in Kocaeli.

Between  2018 and 2019  , he worked as a General Surgery Specialist at Medical Park Bahçelievler Hospital in Istanbul  .

Dr. Instructor Member Fatih Can Karaca   left his duty at Medical Park Bahçelievler Hospital as  of February 2019 and started to work as a General Surgery Specialist to perform Obesity and Metabolic Surgery surgeries at Istanbul Surgery Hospital located in Istanbul .

He opened his private clinic at Fulya Unimed Center between 2019-2020.

He received the title of Associate Professor in June 2021 .

Surgical Experience

After becoming a general surgery specialist in 1996, I served as a General Surgery and Organ Transplantation Specialist at SSK (social insurance institution), for a period of 9 years. In 2005, was granted the title of Associate Professor-General Surgery. Between 2005 and 2012, I established the kidney transplant centers in İzmir Private Kent Hospital, Istanbul Private Gaziosmanpasa Hospital, and Medicalpark Goztepe Hospital respectively, and served as the chief executive of these centers.

I have worked in İzmir Private Kent Hospital since 2013. I established Obesity Clinic at Gazi Hospital, and performed more than 200 gastric reduction operations.

Social Responsibility

I have worked in the management boards of many associations engaging in scientific and social activities, and served as a founding member in some of them.

The most important one of these is that I have served as a coordinator in the project intended for providing 150.000 elementary school students and 5,000 adults with training on organ donation, for a period of 10 years, through various social activities.1

He completed his medical education at Karadeniz Technical University Faculty of Medicine between 2005-2011 and his specialization education at Kocatepe University Faculty of Medicine between 2013-2018. He successfully passed the board of the Turkish Surgical Society in 2018, and became the 3rd in Turkey in the minor medical specialization exam. He earned the title of Surgical Oncologist with the education he received at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine between 2018-2021.
