Dr. Ibrahim Karatas is an experienced General Surgery Specialist with a special focus on metabolic and bariatric surgery. With over 25 years of professional experience, he has performed a significant number of surgeries, including 1467 laparoscopic bariatric surgeries and 648 Type 2 diabetes surgeries. Dr. Karatas has completed extensive training in advanced laparoscopy, infrared photocoagulation, sclerotherapy, and clinical nutrition. He is associated with various professional organizations and is a founding member of the Manisa Breast Surgery Association.
Education
- Graduated from Çukurova University Faculty of Medicine in 1994.
- Internship at the University of Düsseldorf Medical Faculty.
- Specialized in General Surgery at SSK Ankara Dışkapı Teaching and Research Hospital from 1997 to 2001.
Membership
- Member of KEPAN (Clinical Enteral Parenteral Nutrition).
- Member of ESPEN (European Society for Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism).
- Member of the Turkish Surgery Association.
- Founding member of the Manisa Breast Surgery Association.
