Cagdas Erdogan

Dr. Cagdas Erdogan is an Associate Professor and gastroenterologist at Ankara Etlik City Hospital. He specializes in advanced endoscopy and inflammatory bowel disease. The doctor has published approximately 40 scientific articles in journals including Endoscopy.

Advanced Endoscopy & Gastroenterology

Dr. Erdogan treats complex conditions through minimally invasive endoscopic techniques. He performs ERCP and EUS to treat biliary and pancreatic disorders. ERCP uses endoscopes and X-rays to treat bile duct stones. EUS combines endoscopy with ultrasound to visualize internal organs.

The physician performs Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection (ESD) to treat early-stage cancers. He also provides Peroral Endoscopic Myotomy (POEM) for swallowing disorders. Research & Scientific Contributions

Dr. Erdogan conducts research on biologic therapies and innovative endoscopic methods. He compared infliximab and adalimumab in a 13-year Crohn’s disease study. His work includes using holmium lasers for Bouveret syndrome – a rare gastric outlet obstruction caused by gallstones.

The doctor studied post-ERCP pancreatitis prophylaxis using pancreatic stents and indomethacin. This research aims to prevent inflammation of the pancreas after endoscopic procedures. He also investigated the outcomes of adalimumab biosimilars in patients with inflammatory bowel disease.
