THE WORST HOSPITAL EVER! I arrived with my partner early Sunday morning as my partner was extremely unwell and in need of help. The first initial check-in process was efficient but once we were told to wait for the doctor things went down hill…
We waited for almost 3 hours to see a doctor despite the waiting room to be empty. Nurses simply walked past and didn’t bother to check in. The nurses on reception were not helpful either, almost seeming like they didn’t care or want to help.
Once we finally saw a doctor, Dr Bernhard he was lovely and the only positive of this experience.
We waited so long and received an IV drip but at this point we had been awake since 2am with minimal sleep and we were desperate to go home. We decided to ask the nurses to detach my partner from the drip and the nurses responded extremely rudely, bluntly and horribly to my partner. Some nurses laughed at my partner for crying, and we’re talking about her in German (we are from Australia). One nurse even had the audacity to say “i’m tired too” when we told her we wanted to leave. This is not the professionalism I was expecting.
Overall the wait time and organisation of this hospital is extremely below par and the empathy and sympathy shown by the nurses is simply pathetic. I understand being a nurse is hard work, but the value of the job comes from the want and passion to help others and none of the nurses on this Sat afternoon seemed to have any of this. It is firstly inhumane to leave people who are sick to wait so long without any medical supervision and it is disgusting to treat patients the way these nurses did.
Dr Bernhart was fantastic and such a lovely gentleman.
