الدكتور عمر أبو علي أخصائي خصوبة وجراح متخصص في الجراحات طفيفة التوغل. أتمّ التدريب التخصصي في طب النساء والتوليد في مستشفى جامعة الإسكندرية. تخرّج ضمن أعلى 5% مع مرتبة الشرف من جامعة الإسكندرية. يحمل ماجستيراً في الإنجاب المساعد من جامعة أكسفورد. كما يحمل ماجستيراً في الغدد الصماء التناسلية من جامعة الإسكندرية ودبلوماً في الأمراض الوراثية من جامعة هارفارد.

عمل أخصائي خصوبة في مركز المدينة للخصوبة وساعد العديد من الأزواج على بدء تكوين أسرة. والدكتور عمر رائد تقنية الإخصاب في المختبر بلا إبر، وهي طريقة لا تحتاج فيها النساء الخاضعات للإخصاب في المختبر إلى العشرات من الحقن التقليدية.
