Born in Trabzon in 1972, Dr. İzzettin Kahraman began his medical studies at Karadeniz Technical University Faculty of Medicine in 1989 and earned his Medical Doctor degree in 1995. Following two years as a general practitioner, he embarked on his specialization training in 1997. He completed his residency at Ankara Oncology Training and Research Hospital, becoming a General Surgery Specialist in 2002.
Dr. Kahraman worked as a General Surgery Specialist in public hospitals, including Trabzon Numune Hospital and Bakırköy Dr. Sadi Konuk Training and Research Hospital, for 13 years. From 2016 to 2018, he served as a Lecturer at University of Health Sciences. In 2019, he transitioned to the private sector, continuing his career in private hospitals.
Throughout his career, Dr. Kahraman has engaged in a wide range of training programs both in Turkey and abroad. In 2007, he earned a Surgical Endoscopy Certificate and furthered his expertise in laparoscopic hernia treatments in Hamburg, Germany, in 2008. He also completed a course on Nutrition Practices and Training at Ondokuz Mayis University and a specialized course in laparoscopic hernia repair in Istanbul in 2010.
In 2011, after completing the "Emergency Surgery" course in Istanbul organized by the European Society for Trauma and Emergency Surgery (ESTES), Dr. Kahraman received training in SILS (Single Incision Laparoscopic Surgery) Cholecystectomy at Gazi University in Ankara. Since then, he has specialized in advanced laparoscopic techniques, with a particular focus on endoscopy, gastric diseases, obesity, and metabolic surgery.

Assoc. Dr. Ali DURMUŞ was born in the Fevzipaşa township of İslahiye, Gaziantep. Because his father worked at Tekel, he started his education at Malatya Derme Primary School and completed it at Adıyaman Atatürk Primary School. Since his uncle was in Çanakkale, he chose Çanakkale Education Institute as a university. Assoc. Prof. Dr. is a teacher. Ali Durmuş was appointed to Yukarı Tutak village in Ağrı's Diyadin district within the scope of compulsory service. After working as a teacher for a period, he took the university exam again.
He was accepted to Erciyes University Faculty of Medicine, one of the two medical faculties that taught in English at that time. He completed one year of English preparation and 6 years of medical education without any loss. He was a member of the ski team and basketball team at the university, and also managed social events such as the annual medical ball.

I had medical education and training in School of Medicine of Karadeniz Technical University from 1986 to 1992. I worked as medical practitioner in Alacahan subdistrict, Kangal District, Sivas City in 1992-1993 and in Sivas Police Headquarters to fulfill the conscription. I was assigned as Health Group Manager and Medical Practitioner in Dernekpazarı District of Trabzon in 1993-1994. I passed the Examination for Medical Specialty in 1995 and I had my residency training and education at Department of General Surgery in Istanbul School of Medicine of Istanbul University from 1995 to 2000. I was awarded the title of “General Surgeon” after I submitted the medical specialty thesis titled “Relationship between gastrointestinal tumors and HLA” in 2001. After I worked at a privately owned hospital in 2000-2002, I started working in General Surgery Clinic of Bakırköy Dr. Sadi Konuk Training and Research Hospital in 2003. I had rotation in General Surgery Clinic of School of Medicine in Istanbul University for 9 months in 2007. I was awarded the title “Associate Professor of General Surgery” in 2010. I undertook Management duties in Şişli Hamidiye Etfal Training and Research Hospital from November 2012 to December 2013 and in Bakırköy Dr. Sadi Konuk Training and Research Hospital from December 2013 to April 2015. I have intentionally dealt with renal transplantation during my residency education. After I was awarded the title “medical specialist”, I participated to diagnostic & therapeutic endoscopy, bariatric surgery, laparoscopy and robotic surgery educations abroad for short periods. I am intensively dealing with any and all laparoscopic surgical procedures (especially bariatric and gastrointestinal system surgery) and diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures (gastroscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP, endoscopic ultrasound) in this clinic since 2003 and I also play the role of trainer. I do and train others about General Surgery procedures with Da Vinci Robotic system since 2010.

He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine with his 3rd degree in 1990 and started his General Surgery specialization training at SSK Okmeydanı Training Hospital in Istanbul in September-1991. He prepared congress publications as well as clinical and experimental studies during his residency training.
In 1993, he received training on "Microsurgery Course" and "Valtrac" rings used in GIS anastomoses at Würtzburg University, Germany, and became the first user in Turkey and used them in his specialization thesis.
He became a General Surgery Specialist at SSK Okmeydanı Training Hospital in 1996. In the same year, I.U. He completed the "Surgical Gastroenterology Endoscopy Training Courses" at Istanbul Medical Faculty. Due to his interest in Liver and Bile Tract surgery, he graduated from Istanbul University for 4 months in 1999. He worked actively in the General Surgery Department of Liver and Biliary Tract Surgery. During this time, he continued clinical and experimental studies.
