Prof. Dr. Berkan Reşorlu was born in 1979 in Ankara. He completed his Medical Education in Ankara University between 1997-2003. Between 2003-2008, he completed his residency in Urology at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine and became a Urology Specialist. He has carried out many international studies after his specialization, has contributed significantly to the literature by publishing more than 110 articles in international journals with SCI / SCI-E index, and in 2013 he received the title of Associate Professor, in 2022 he received the title of Professor.

Vahit Onur Gül graduated from the Gülhane Military Medical Faculty in 1998. He became a general surgeon specialist in 2009 and a general surgery associate professor in 2020. He served as a military doctor in almost every city in our country. He received training in robotic surgery in the USA and microsurgery in Switzerland. He participated in many advanced laparoscopic surgery courses both domestically and internationally. He presented numerous oral and written papers at conferences and meetings both domestically and internationally. Private Practice Experience for Obesity and Metabolic Surgery

I have been involved in Obesity and Metabolic Surgery since 2011. Mainly in private practice. I have done over 2500 sleeve gastrectomy’s and more than 900 gastric bypass and metabolic surgery procedures with a total of over 3400 Obesity and Metabolic Surgery operations

BRIEF SUMMARYOF WORK EXPERIENCE 

Including those I had transplanted during my fellowship at RUSH University in Chicago (n=86), I have performed a total of 705 liver transplants (%94 adult) both from living (%75) and cadaveric (%25) donors. And, additionally 340 kidney transplants which were mostly from living donors, too. Of these, 12 were combined liver and kidney transplantations either from cadaveric or living donors. Currently, I am the Director of Organ Transplant Program at GUVEN Hospital in Ankara. As of March 2018, here in GUVEN Hospital, we have performed 145 liver transplants (118 from living donors) with 1, 3 and 5 years patient survival of 91.2%, 86%and 83%, consecutively(ELTR data analysis). Since 1997, besides organ transplantation, I have also been operating on complicated hepato-pancreato-biliary patients
