Biography

Dr. Mehdi Afrit is a Medical Oncologist who practices at Burjeel Specialty Hospital in Sharjah. He has over 11 years of experience caring for and managing cancer patients. He has extensive experience providing chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy to patients. He earned a Certificate of Medical Oncology from the Gustave Roussy Institute in Paris, France, where he received training in antitumor chemotherapy and cancer medical treatment. Additionally, he holds an international certificate in breast diseases. He also has a certificate in Good Clinical Practice from Trans Celerate Biopharma Inc. and a certificate in Clinical Trial Management: Good Clinical Practice from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians. He previously worked for over five years as an Assistant Professor of Medical Oncology at Tunis’s Faculty of Medicine. He later practiced as a Consultant, Medical Oncologist for six years at Arianna’s hospital in Tunisia. He later worked for two years as a Specialist Medical Oncologist at Zulekha Hospital. He was also an investigator in three international clinical trials and holds clinical trial auditing and CRO certifications and a GCP Training Certificate from 2016. He is a member in good standing of the Emirates Oncology Society (EOS), the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO), and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). Prof. Mert YILMAZ was graduated from Istanbul University Istanbul Medical Faculty in 1988. He started his residency program at the Uludag University, Department of Cardiovascular Surgery in 1990. During his residency training in the Uludag University, he also spent a year as a visiting resident in Royal South Hants Hospital in England. Afterword, he started to work as a chief resident in the Uludag University until the end of his specialty program. He became board certified Cardiovascular surgeon in 1995. He started to work in Florence Nightingale Hospital in Istanbul as a staff Cardiovascular surgeon in 1996. In year 2000, He actively particapated in the Cardiac Surgery program and performed multiple interventions including cardiac transplantation, minimal invasive cardiac surgery and endovascular surgery in OLV Aalst Hospital in Belgium. In 2001, He came back to Florence Nightingale Hospital, He was one of the pioneers in endovascular repairement of abdominal aneurysm surgeries as he performed the second case in Turkey in the Gayrettepe Florence Nightingale Hospital in 2003.

In 2004, he returned to academia as an assistant professor in the Uludag University and he worked on both Adult and Pediatric Cardiac Surgeries between, 2004 and 2008. He also took part in establishment of Medicana International Hospital in Istanbul in 2009 and. He worked as a associate Director of the department more than one year in this hospital. Between 2010-2014, he was the Director of the Deparment of Cardiovascular Surgery in Medicalpark Hospital Bursa and Turkish Private Hospital in Erbil. Since 2014, he is the Director of the Deparment of Cardiovascular Surgery in Kadıköy Florence Nightingale Hospital in Istanbul.  His special interests are minimal invasive Cardiac surgery (small insicion) and Pediatric Cardiac surgery.  As an academician, Professor Yilmaz published over than 50 international and national manuscripts and 7 of them were tittiled as the first report in the world medical literature. He speaks and writes English fluently.

Born in 1961, Prof. Emin Tireli, M.D., completed secondary and high school educations in İzmir Atatürk High School. He started medical education in School of Medicine, Ege University in 1980. He was awarded the title “Medical Doctor” in 1986. 

He started specialty education in Cardiovascular Surgery Department, Istanbul School of Medicine, Istanbul University in 1987. 

He was awarded the title “Cardiovascular Surgeon” in 1993. 

He was awarded the title “Associate Professor” in 1997 following his studies on the same chair. 

Dr. Emin Tireli was awarded the title “Professor” in 2005 and he still works as a faculty member in Cardiovascular Surgery Department, Istanbul School of Medicine. 

Prof. Emin Tireli, M.D. has good command of English.

Dr. Francisco Javier Parra Jimenez collaborated with the Cardiology Service of the General University Hospital of Guadalajara from January to November 1999. He started working in the HM Hospital group in January 1999 with Dr. D. Manuel de Artaza until 2007, when he was appointed Head of the Cardiology Service at the HM Sanchinarro University Hospital.

At the present time he holds the position of Head of the Clinical Cardiology Service of HMCIEC (Comprehensive Center for Cardiovascular Diseases) of HM Hospital, where he carries out his work as a doctor and maintains his Clinical Cardiology practice at the HM Montepríncipe, Sanchinarro and Madrid Centers.

Dr. Francisco Javier Parra Jimenez also coordinates the activity of more than 30 clinical cardiologists and about 20 people dedicated to nursing activities.
