Tarek M Hashem

Dr. Tarek M. Hashem is a surgical oncologist specializing in breast cancer and oncoplastic surgery. He is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (MRCS). Dr. Hashem is an Associate Professor at the National Cancer Institute in Cairo. He has also been a consultant in breast and oncoplastic surgery at Shefa Al Orman Comprehensive Cancer Center since 2018.

Specialization & Approach

Dr. Hashem combines cancer removal with aesthetic breast restoration. He treats the full cycle of breast cancer care from diagnosis to staging. The surgeon performs breast-conserving surgery, lumpectomies, and mastectomies. He also uses sentinel lymph node biopsy and axillary dissection for accurate tumor staging.

Advanced Reconstruction Techniques

The doctor provides several options for breast reconstruction after tumor removal. These procedures help patients regain their natural appearance. He performs reconstruction using silicone implants or tissue expanders. He also uses microsurgical flaps including LD, TDAP, LICAP, AICAP, TRAM, and SEAP.
