Tamer Mostafa Manie

Dr. Tamer Mostafa Manie is an Associate Professor of Surgical Oncology at the National Cancer Institute. He performs breast cancer surgery and oncoplastic reconstruction. Dr. Manie completed international training at centers in the UK, Italy, and France.

Advanced Breast and Oncoplastic Surgery

The doctor treats breast cancer through diagnosis and surgical management. He combines tumor removal with aesthetic techniques to restore the breast appearance. Dr. Manie performs supermicrosurgery for lymphedema — a procedure that connects lymphatic vessels to veins to reduce swelling after lymph node removal.

He performs a wide range of breast procedures, including:

• Conservative Breast Surgery (CBS)
• Skin and nipple–sparing mastectomy
• Axillary lymph node staging and sentinel node biopsy
• Breast reconstruction using silicone implants and tissue expanders
• Flap techniques including TRAM, LD, TDAP, LICAP, AICAP, and SEAP flaps
• Nipple reconstruction and lipofilling
• Reduction mammoplasty and mastopexy
• Lumpectomy and axillary lymph node dissection

Professional Leadership

Dr. Manie holds clinical and academic positions at several institutions. He has served as an Associate Professor at the National Cancer Institute since 2020. Between 2021 and 2023, he chaired the Breast Cancer Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) at Madinet Nasr Oncology Center. Furthermore, he consults at Shefaa Al Orman Comprehensive Cancer Center.
