الدكتورة نهال دورموش كوجا أصلان أستاذة مشاركة في جراحة التجميل والترميم والجراحة الجمالية بجامعة مرمرة. حصلت على اعتمادَي TPRECD وEBOPRAS عام 2013، وأصبحت زميلة الكلية الأمريكية للجراحين (FACS) عام 2021. تعمل خبيرة طب شرعي في وزارة العدل منذ 2019، ونالت دكتوراه في الطب الشرعي عام 2020.
تشمل خبرتها جراحات تقويم الفكين والوجه والفكين والفك، إضافةً إلى الشفة والحنك المشقوقين وسائر العيوب الخِلقية. كما تتخصص في ترميم الثدي وجدار الصدر، وإصلاح الجروح المزمنة، والجراحة التجميلية.
تشمل تدريباتها الدولية الجراحة المجهرية الترميمية في جامعة RWTH آخن، وتجميل الثدي والوجه والجسم في عيادات بالولايات المتحدة، ورعاية الشفة والحنك المشقوقين في مستشفى سياتل للأطفال. تدربت أيضاً على تعظّم الدروز الباكر في جامعة إيراسموس روتردام، وعلى جراحة الوجه والفكين وتقويم الفكين في مستشفى سانت جورج. كوجا أصلان عضوة مجلس إدارة في EPCD وناشطة في جمعيات رعاية الجروح والشفة والحنك المشقوقين. وتشمل عضوياتها: ACS وISAPS ومؤسسة الحنك المشقوق الأمريكية وAO Craniofacial.
