He took a plug of bone and cartilage from a non-weight-bearing area of my knee and very skillfully used it to repair a 16mm x 14mm x 15mm grade 4 cartilage defect in the patellofemoral joint.\nThe operation was a complete success. I am currently recovering in Istanbul, undergoing a course of intensive physiotherapy, and I am already able to walk with just one crutch.
