Then my husband was also taken to see a hair transplant surgeon, also free of charge and also by car.\n\nI saw the doctor on the last day - he removed my stitches and asked me to send him some tests.\n\nI was very happy that it was him who operated on me, and I was even sad to part with Olga. When the histology was ready, it turned out that I had cancer, and it was good that everything was done in time.\n\nIf I have any health problems, I will definitely come back to this hospital. \n\nThyroid surgeries vary by the amount of thyroid removed:

- Lobectomy or partial thyroidectomy removes only one lobe, or half of the thyroid. This is often done if there’s a single nodule or a small, low-risk cancer confined to one side. Patients may keep normal thyroid function afterward and may not need lifelong medication. \n\t
- Total thyroidectomy removes the whole gland. This is more common if cancer is present, if there are large nodules on both sides, or if the thyroid is severely overactive. Patients need daily thyroid hormone replacement afterward. \n\t
