Assoc. Prof. Ali Eser received his medical education at Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine; He completed his internal medicine residency training at Istanbul Training and Research Hospital and his hematology residency training at Marmara University.

Afterward, he completed his compulsory service at Marmara University Hematology Clinic, firstly at Çanakkale University and then at Bezmialem Vakıf University. He served as a lecturer. After working as a hematology specialist and assistant physician in charge of the adult bone marrow transplant unit for 2 years at Hisar Intercontinental Hospital, he worked as a lecturer at Bezmialem Vakıf University and in the adult bone marrow transplant unit at Istanbul Yeniyüzyıl University, and finally for 1 year. He worked as the responsible physician of the adult bone marrow transplant unit at Liv Hospital Gaziantep Hospital for some time. He received the title of associate professor in March 2022.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Oğuzhan BABACAN completed his undergraduate, specialty and sub-specialty education at GATA Military Medical Faculty/Ankara. After becoming a specialist in Pediatrics, he worked in the field of Social Pediatrics for two years, where Healthy Baby Monitoring and vaccine follow-up were carried out. Then, she completed her subspecialty training in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology and continued her studies in the field of pediatric blood and cancer diseases. In addition to the treatment of children suffering from leukemia, lymphoma, solid tumors and other blood diseases, she has been working in the Bone Marrow Transplantation (Transplant) Unit for 13 years in Allogeneic (unrelated and intrafamilial), Autologous (from the patient himself) and Haploidentical (partially HLA compatible) hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Dr. Toluy Özgümüş has graduated from Istanbul University, Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 2008 and completed his internal medicine specialty training at Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital between 2009 and 2013. He received his Hematology subspecialty training at Marmara University Hematology Department between 2014-2017; He performed his compulsory service at Kars Harakani State Hospital between 2017-2019. He worked at Sancaktepe Şehit Prof. Dr. Ilhan Varak Training and Research Hospital between 2019-2023.

He is experienced in the field of bleeding and coagulation disorders, especially coagulation disorders (thrombophilia), and has dealt with the diagnosis and treatment of more than 1000 patients. Since he worked in the pandemic hospital of the Anatolian side of Istanbul during the pandemic period, he has extensive experience in the hematological findings of Covid-19 infection and the management of Covid-19 infection in hematological diseases. Hundreds of patient experiences are available in the diagnosis of myeloproliferative diseases such as Polycythemia Vera and Essential Thrombocytosis, in their differentiation from blood cell elevations due to other frequently confused causes, and in their treatment. الدكتور درور ليفين هو طبيب أطفال كبير ومدير أقسام علاج اضطرابات الدم وسرطان العظام (ساركوما) في مستشفى الأطفال "دانا" والمركز الطبي "سوراسكي" على التوالي. وهو متخصص في طب الأطفال وأمراض الدم والأورام ، ولديه خبرة إضافية في الدراسة بالخارج في معهد ريزولي لتقويم العظام في إيطاليا.

Professor Santoro is heavily involved in research, with interest in many topics, such as the development of new cancer drugs and new biological therapies, interests for solid and haematological tumours, and not only he treats cancer survivors but also patients with comorbidities.

He has worked in Humanitas Research Hospital for 22 years. Professor Santoro’s post-graduate research was carried out at the Unité de Development Therapeutique (Institut de Cancerologie et d’Immunogenetique, Villejuif of Paris) from 1974 to 1975, and in the Division of Medical Oncology of the National Cancer Institute of Milan from 1976 to 1977. 

In 1977, he specialized in Clinical and Laboratory Haematology at University of Rome. In 1979, he completed his fellowship post-graduate work in the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center of New York and later, at Stanford University. In 1980, he specialized in oncology at the University of Genoa. 

Current Teaching Activity: Professor Santoro worked as Contract Professor at the Specialization School in Clinical Pathology ad Pavia University from 1992 to 1997. Also, from 1993 to 2002 he has been President of the Rare Tumour Group. Now he is full professor at Humanitas University. 

Current Positions: 

• .Since 1997, he is the Director of the Department of Medical Oncology and Haematology, at Istituto Clinico Humanitas, Milan. Also, he is Member of the Ethics Committee of Istituto Clinico Humanitas and Director of Clinical Research in the same Institute since 2007.

Prof. Dr. Osman İLHAN graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1978. After completing his internal medicine residency at the same faculty in 1982, he served as a senior resident at the GATA Hematology Clinic during his military service. After completing his mandatory service at SSK Ulus Hospital, he returned to Ankara University Faculty of Medicine for a subspecialty. In 1990, he became an associate professor of hematology. He worked in Genoa, Italy to increase his knowledge and experience in leukemia. He was part of the team that performed the first bone marrow stem cell transplant in Turkey. In 1996, he went to the MD Anderson Cancer Center in the USA to work on "Stem Cell Mobilization, Cryopreservation, and Transplantation." In 1996, he became a professor of hematology. In 1999, he was elected as the regional president of ESFH (European Society for Hemapheresis). Dr. İlhan, who was the founder and president of the Hemapheresis Society in 2000, joined the World Apheresis Association (WAA) in 2001. He became the President of the Turkish Hematology Association in October 2001. Dr. İlhan, who is an active member of the European Hematology Association (EHA), was a member of the accreditation committee (ECAH) for education. He played a role in the accreditation of Turkish hematologists in CME credits by participating in the accreditation of congresses and courses held in Turkey as a Provider Status. He served as the founding president of the Cellular Therapy and Regenerative Medicine Association established in 2008. He became the founding president of the Geriatric Hematology Association in 2011. He is the Honorary President of the World Apheresis Congress (WAA) held in 2012. Dr. İlhan, who previously served on drug licensing and ethics committees at the Ministry of Health, has also served as the Chairman of the Photopheresis-Apheresis Commission and the Scientific Committee for Bone Marrow Transplantation, as well as the Chairman of the National Organ Tissue Cell Coordination Board, the Scientific Board of Cord Blood, and the Stem Cell Research Board. He is the founding president of the STEM CELL FOUNDATION and has played an important role in the establishment of TURKOK (Turkish Stem Cell Donor Bank). Dr. İlhan has over 300 publications in journals registered in PubMed and more than 5000 citations. He holds the Platinum CME certificate from the European Hematology Association. He owns four brands/patents named “Kökten Çözüm (Deep Solution), Telehematoloji (Telehematology), Hemaferez (Hemapheresis), Kanser Kök Hücresi (Cancer Stem Cell)”. He is currently the President of the Ankara Medical Association. Prof. Dr. Osman İlhan, who served at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine for 50 years, began working at Özel Koru Ankara Hospital as of January 1, 2023.
